Happy Motivation Monday! The vegan challenge has ended and now we've entered a new week, which means it's time for a new challenge! Let's just say that being organized has never really been my strongest skill... A couple of days ago I realized something. I had a lot of things that I wanted to get done before going to work. For example, I needed to make an important phone call which I kept postponing. Postponing must be something we all do very often, right? Whether it's about sending that one email, studying for your exams, doing the dishes, and so on. It's those little things that often make us feel stressed for no reason, without us even realizing it. One important aspect of feeling good is to literally just get things done. This is something I really want to work on and that's why I'm challenging myself to use this week to actually plan each day and to learn from those mistakes. So let's get organized and get rid of unnecessary stress!
Now there's a second aspect to organizing that I want to talk about as well today. I don't know about you guys, but I'm constantly planning things in my head. Things like what I want to eat tomorrow, what I'm going to wear to dinner, what workout to do, what to blog about, and so on. They can be small things, planned for the near future, but they can also be about bigger changes in life. The kind of things that you could put on a bucket list, you know? So why not make one? Why not write these things down somewhere so we can remind ourselves of our goals? Whether they are short-term or long-term, let's just write them down so we don't lose track of them! If you want to have a more clear overview, just make sure to make two lists: one bucket list with your long-term goals and one lists with your short-term goals :)
So, let's get started right away and make a list of the things that can help us get organized!
1. Buy a journal or notebook. I absolutely love the one in these pictures, since the dots make it very easy to draw lines and I feel that, in a way, it looks a lot less messy than stripes and gives a bit of a more "calm" vibe.
2. If you like to be creative, try to actually design your own planner, just like I did in these pictures. It's not only fun to do, but it's also a way of getting a break from your phone, laptop, and tv, and since you've put some effort into designing it, you will be more likely to actually use it! Now, in this case, make sure to buy some pencils, markers, stickers or whatever you like to use in order to give those pages a little makeover!
3. Make lists that you're actually going to use. Maybe you want to try a certain diet and therefore make a meal-planner or a list of recipes you want to try that week. Maybe you want to make a workout schedule or focus on your exams. It's completely up to you! Just decide for yourself what it is that you would like to work on this week and make sure to write it down.
4. Now that you've designed your lists, it is time to fill them out and get organized! If you like, you could use a pencil so you can erase your goals at the end of the week and use the same planner for the next week, just with new goals. However, I would personally not recommend this, since the whole idea of designing your own planner, is to motivate you to actually use it :)
I really hope this will be helpful to some of you. I'm for sure excited for this new challenge and once this post is up I'm immediately going to fill out my goals for the week! Happy new week♥
LOVE, Michelle
